Addleshaw Goddard Ireland’s new offices at Fitzwilliam No.28 have been officially opened by enterprise, tourism and employment minister Peter Burke.

Since entering the city in 2022, the international law firm has recorded a 45 per cent growth in revenue in Ireland and has increased its headcount by over 20 per cent, with 154 staff currently at the firm.

It now claims to be one of the largest international law firms in Ireland, with 90 lawyers and 32 partners, and is targeting a further 10 to 15 per cent growth in headcount in 2025.

Its new premises can accommodate over 200 people across the 27,722 sq. ft. footprint, a 42 per cent increase on the firm’s previous office space at Temple Chambers on Burlington Road.

Situated in the heart of the Georgian Mile, Fitzwilliam No.28 stands on the site of the former ESB premises and was designed by Grafton Architects and O’Mahony Pike Architects.

The 14-year lease signed with SMBC Aviation Capital sees Addleshaw Goddard Ireland take over the entire second floor, along with a portion of the first floor.

Speaking at the official opening of the office, Mr Burke said: “Congratulations to Addleshaw Goddard on the opening of their new office at Fitzwilliam No.28.

“Since arriving in Dublin three years ago, this international firm has already seen impressive growth.

“The move to their new premises allows for increased capacity, which reflects Addleshaw Goddard’s ambition for future expansion here.

“I wish the Addleshaw Goddard team continued success in this new chapter.”

Michael Lohan, CEO of IDA Ireland, which supports Addleshaw Goddard, added: “I am delighted to congratulate Addleshaw Goddard on their new office in Dublin.

“Having established here in 2022, this move demonstrates their further commitment to embedding themselves in our vibrant business community.

“Their decision to expand in Dublin underscores Ireland’s reputation as a hub for legal services. I look forward to working with Addleshaw Goddard in their continued growth.”

Mark Walsh, head of Addleshaw Goddard Ireland, said: “We are excited to have made the move into our new office premises.

“Fitzwilliam No.28 is a prized location in the heart of the capital and is an impressive modern building which will further enhance our firm’s focus on delivering innovative solutions for our clients.

“This move is a significant milestone in the journey we have been on over the past number of years.

“The new office will enhance the firm’s already strong culture while providing our colleagues with a dynamic modern workspace. No.28 will also facilitate our ambitious growth plans and will help to attract the best talent to Addleshaw Goddard.”

Aster Crawshaw, senior partner at Addleshaw Goddard International, said: “We are honoured to welcome the minister to open our fantastic new office in Dublin.

“The quality and size of the new office speaks volumes for the growth we have seen since coming to Ireland three years ago, and the opportunities ahead.

“Ireland has proven to be one of the most dynamic markets in our international network and as a vibrant, thriving European capital is the perfect place to bring our unique mix of high-quality advice and technological innovation in the delivery of legal services.”
