Addleshaw Goddard hires John Kearns to establish structured finance and debt capital markets offering

International law firm Addleshaw Goddard has appointed John Kearns as partner in the firm’s finance team, establishing a structured finance and debt capital markets offering for the first time.

Mr Kearns joins Addleshaw Goddard Ireland with extensive finance experience, having spent four years on the banking and finance team at Dentons Ireland LLP.

Prior to this, he was at Simmons & Simmons in the Middle East and was previously a member of the capital markets team at Arthur Cox.

Mr Kearns has vast experience in all types of structured finance and debt capital markets (DCM) transactions on the issuer, bank and trustee sides. He acts for a broad base of clients ranging from international financial institutions to blue chip corporates to start-ups on often complex and bespoke structures and deals.

Commenting on his appointment, Mr Kearns said: “I am delighted to join the finance team in Addleshaw Goddard Ireland and to bring with me a new practice offering.

“Having spent time in various jurisdictions, I have an appreciation of the need to deliver an international-standard product to clients.
