Addleshaw Goddard lawyer awarded PhD on 1922 constitution
Addleshaw Goddard lawyer Dr James Meighan has been awarded a PhD in law from the University of Limerick.
Dr Meighan, a managing associate in the firm’s regulatory and dispute resolution team in Dublin, wrote his thesis on the separation of powers under the 1922 constitution of the Irish Free State.
He was supervised by Dr Laura Cahillane and his thesis was examined by Professor Paul McCutcheon and Supreme Court judge Mr Justice Gerard Hogan.
Dr Meighan told Irish Legal News: “I am delighted to have been awarded a PhD in law from the University of Limerick. I would like to acknowledge Dr Cahillane’s expertise in this area and commitment to the research project.”
