A&L Goodbody partners with legal AI platform
A&L Goodbody has announced a new partnership with Harvey AI, becoming the first Irish law firm to onboard the generative AI platform aimed at the legal industry.
The new technology will be used to “enhance” the firm’s offering on document analysis, due diligence, litigation and regulatory compliance, as well as supporting internal business processes.
ALG says it has been using AI technology “for a number of years” through its ALG Solutions client service delivery group, and the partnership with Harvey AI marks “the next step”.
David Widger, managing partner at ALG, said: “We pride ourselves on being innovative and tech-enabled and we’ve leveraged AI technology for a number of years to support our clients.
“Generative AI is the next step in utilising cutting-edge technology and we’re really looking forward to exploring how we can integrate Harvey AI into our business.”
Charlie Carroll, partner and head of ALG Solutions, added: “Our ALG Solutions group has been instrumental in keeping our firm at the forefront of technological solutions to support our clients.
“Over the last 12 months, we’ve been evaluating the opportunities for genAI and we’re really excited about the opportunities it presents to enhance different aspects of our legal work.
“Harvey AI is the world’s leading legal generative AI tool and we’re delighted to be cementing this partnership, after collaborating with the Harvey AI team for some time on our genAI roadmap.”
