And finally… bum rap
Police have penalised a teenager for driving a “Booty Patrol” vehicle that looked too similar to a real law enforcement vehicle.
Gabriel Luviano, 18, was pulled over in Florida while driving the truck, which says “Booty Patrol” along the side and back and “National Booty Behaviour Protection” on the door.
DeSoto County Sheriff’s Office shared photos on Facebook of the truck, which it said looked similar to a U.S. Border Patrol vehicle, The Guardian reports.
A spokesperson for the sheriff’s office said it had cited the motorist and made a post “for public awareness for our citizens of the county and really across the state”.
However, social media users on their official page appeared to side with Luviano, with comments urging the officers to “do actual police work”.
Florida’s state attorney’s office is still considering whether to bring charges.
