The band, who had a slew of major hits in the late ’80s and early ’90s, is seeking damages from Oskar Blues Brewery in Colorado for harm to its “trademarks, trade name, business reputation and goodwill”.

According to court documents filed by the band, they ordered the brewery to stop selling the “rosé ale” last December – following an attempt by the brewery to register Guns N’ Rosé as a trademark of its own, The Register reports.

The band highlighted the brewery’s decision to produce Guns N’ Róse bandanas, “an item uniquely associated with GNR and their co-founder and lead singer Axl Rose, who has famously worn bandannas for years”.

The brewery has yet to comment on the lawsuit.
