And finally… copped

A police officer has been accused of pulling women over at traffic stops – to ask them out on dates.

New Jersey man Marquice Prather, 37, was arrested last week on charges of third-degree tampering of public records as well as fourth-degree falsifying or tampering with records.

State police began investigating Prather after receiving complaints about his behaviour.

Women between the ages of 20 and 35 said he would stop them and ask for their phone numbers.

He is alleged to have routinely turned off his wireless microphone at stops, falsely claiming it had stopped working.

Prather is also accused of fiddling with data to hide the fact he was targeting female drivers.

If convicted on the third degree charge, the cop could be fined up to $15,000 and face three to five years in jail.
