And finally… go fund yourself
A crowdfunding account set up for a woman who lost her entire savings on lottery tickets has been shut down after it raised over $800 in seven hours.
Cinnamon Nicole, from Tennessee, made the GoFundMe page after she spent her life savings on tickets to win a $1.58 billion jackpot, despite her chances of winning being one in 292.2 million.
“Please help me and my family as we have exausted all of our funds. We spent all of our money on lottery tickets (expecting to win the 1.5 billion) and are now in dire need of cash,” her page read, according to Pix11 News.
It added she would use the funds to spend another “fortune” on lottery tickets.
“…I’m certain that we will be able to pick ourselves up from the trenches of this lost and spend another fortune trying to hit it big again!” read the page.
GoFundMe told CNet the page was removed, saying: “The campaign in question was removed for a violation of GoFundMe’s Terms & Conditions.”
