The official Scooby Doo website notes that the TV cartoon’s iconic minivan is “always ready to provide a quick getaway”.

Sharon Kay Turman, 51, was wanted for probation violation when she made a daring escape highway escape in a look-a-like vehicle - during which she ran a red light and hit at least four cars.

But despite having police cars and a California Highway Patrol helicopter on her tail, Ms Turman managed to evade arrest, ultimately ditching the minivan and escaping on foot.

Her whereabouts remain unknown.
