Authorities in upstate New York say judge Delmar House was charged with a felony count of bribe receiving and a second for receiving a reward for official misconduct.

If convicted, he could spend as many as seven years in prison.

New York State Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said: “Any court official who exploits their position to elicit sexual favors shows blatant disregard for the well-being of their victim, the trust of the public, and for the judicial system as a whole.

“We will keep working to root out public corruption and hold those responsible accountable.”
