Cops in the Filipino capital have been banned from picking their noses and scratching themselves in a bid to improve their reputation.
The new rules, outlined in a memorandum from the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO), also include bans on selfies, smoking, chewing gum or playing online games while on duty.
The strict guidelines for Manila officers come as new President Rodrigo Duterte invests massively in police forces across the country.
President Duterte won the election on the back of controversial promises to slash crime by unmitigated force.
Next year’s police budget will increase by a massive 24.6 per cent, he has already announced, with the money to be spent on guns and vehicles.
