And finally… pot luck
Ireland’s food safety watchdog has recalled a batch of CBD oil that was found to be psychoactive.
CBD oil – short for cannabidiol oil – can be legally sold in Ireland despite being derived from cannabis, as it does not contain the plant’s psychoactive component, THC (tetrahydrocannabinol).
However, the Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued a recall of a product called EUPHORIA CBD Full Spectrum Oil after discovering it contained the “unauthorised substance”.
The 10ml bottles, advertised as “extra strong”, have been imported from the Netherlands for sale in Ireland.
Distributors and retailers are now required to withdraw the product from sale.
