And finally… prison break

A man has been imprisoned for smuggling drugs, a knife and a McMuffin sandwich into a London jail.

Karl Jensen, 27, was caught on CCTV tying a bag with the goods to a fishing line outside Wormwood Scrubs, which was then pulled over a fence and into a cell.

He was given a two-and-a-half year sentence while his girlfriend, Lisa Mary Hutchinson, 26, was given a 12-month community order.

Mr Jensen pleaded guilty to various charges including three counts of conveying an article into prison as well as conspiracy to supply a class A drug.

Ms Hutchinson admitted that she allowed the use of her home for the supply of class A and B drugs.

The bag contained, among other things, phone chargers, tobacco, a knife, cannabis, cocaine and a McDonald’s McMuffin as well as a Kinder Surprise egg containing five sim cards.

Detective constable Andy Griffin said the mix of items “could have been deadly”.
