And finally… short shrift
An angry Cork judge postponed sentencing for a man found guilty of threatening behaviour after he turned up to court wearing shorts.
Judge Olann Kelleher, putting the case back to Friday, said: “You cannot come to court in shorts.”
Cain O’Mahony, 26, turned up to Cork District Court yesterday in a black polo shirt and black shorts, the Irish Examiner reports.
He was previously found guilty of engaging in threatening behaviour on 2 February.
Mr O’Mahony is expected to reappear tomorrow in long trousers.
