Arthur Cox backing Ulster Hockey gala lunch
Arthur Cox will join Olympic athlete Sally Gunnell OBE and local business leaders and sports professionals at the upcoming Ulster Hockey Club 1896 gala lunch.
The law firm is sponsoring the event at Titanic Belfast on 20 September, which will include a panel discussion on the challenges and opportunities facing business and sport in today’s climate.
Panellists will include the firm’s managing partner Lynsey Mallon, Ms Gunnell, former international hockey champion Eugene Magee and Angela Platt, director of Women’s Football with the IFA.
Marc Scott, CEO of Ulster Hockey, said: “Lynsey Mallon, Eugene Magee and Angela Platt are all incredibly successful individuals who, through hard work and a commitment to excellence, inspire others in their respective fields.
“We are delighted to have secured their presence on the panel at the Club 1896 gala lunch, where our theme of ‘inspiring greatness’ feels particularly apt.
“We believe they, alongside Sally Gunnell, will provide an entertaining, thought-provoking and motivating discussion that will resonate with guests from across the worlds of sport and business.”
Ms Mallon said: “Arthur Cox is thrilled to partner with Ulster Hockey as the event sponsor for the Club 1896 gala lunch.
“The event’s theme of ‘inspiring greatness’ resonates deeply with our values as a leading law firm in Northern Ireland, and the parallels between the worlds of sport and business are profound, with both teamwork, collaboration, a competitive spirit, and an unwavering drive to succeed.
“It is a pleasure to be invited to participate in a dynamic discussion that highlights how these transferable skills can lead to success both on the field and in the boardroom, and we are very much looking forward to September’s event.”
