Bar of Northern Ireland names Action Deaf Youth as new charity partner
The Bar of Northern Ireland has announced Action Deaf Youth as its chosen charity for 2021/22.
The charity works across Northern Ireland providing direct services to deaf children from 0-25 years and their families. They support their users to grow in self-confidence, develop positive relationships and actively participate with their peers and communities.
Caroline Doherty, director of Action Deaf Youth, said: “Action Deaf Youth are delighted to be chosen as the Bar Library’s charity of the year. As a small charity, this will enable us to provide vital quality support to deaf children, deaf young people and their families in Northern Ireland.”
The Bar’s charity committee said its looking forward to working with Action Deaf Youth and is encouraging everyone to support the charity’s annual christmas tree sale event on Sunday 5 December.
