Beauchamps’ Imelda Reynolds elected president of Institute of Directors of Ireland
Beauchamps chairperson Imelda Reynolds has been appointed as president of the Institute of Directors in Ireland (IoD), the membership body representing directors and business leaders.
Ms Reynolds was elected to succeed Harry Lorton at the Institute’s AGM last night following the completion of his two-year term.
A chartered director and a practising solicitor with over 30 years’ experience, Ms Reynolds is the chairperson of commercial law firm Beauchamps, which she previously led as managing partner.
Commenting on her appointment, Ms Reynolds said: “The importance of good governance in business and the requirement for directors in upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism in undertaking their role has never been more important.
“As one of the leading advocates of corporate governance standards in Ireland, the Institute of Directors in Ireland provides its members with a wide range of resources designed for their professional development as business leaders and company directors.”
She added: “I am delighted to take up the role of President of the IoD for the next two years.”
