Belfast solicitor wins apology for Hollywood stars
Belfast solicitor Paul Tweed represented Hollywood stars Johnny Depp and Amber Heard in a successful challenge to The Mirror, according to the Irish Times.
The tabloid newspaper’s website has now admitted it published “unfounded allegations and inferences” about the actors’ marriage.
Last night, a statement on the paper’s website offered an apology.
Mr Tweed, the senior partner at Johnsons Solicitors, has previously represented stars including Ashton Kutcher and Mila Kunis.
The prominent solicitor was recognised in Chambers and Partners 2015 for his “unrivalled client base” and “unparalleled track record of success” in the defamation and privacy market.
Johnsons has offices in Belfast, Dublin and London.
