Bird & Bird recruits IP and data litigator Ann Henry
International law firm Bird & Bird has recruited IP and data litigator Ann Henry as a partner in the firm’s Dublin office.
Ms Henry starts at the firm tomorrow and brings over 20 years’ experience to her new role. She represents international companies in pan-European litigation, particularly in the areas of patent litigation and data privacy disputes in the life sciences, technology and retail sectors.
At Bird & Bird, Ms Henry will work closely with IP and tech litigator Michael Finn, data protection expert Anna Morgan and regulatory and public affairs director Francine Cunningham in Ireland as well as the wider Bird & Bird IP, data and UPC teams across Europe.
A key part of her role will be to develop the firm’s growing practice around both personal and general data litigation in Bird & Bird’s Ireland office, including regulatory compliance and company-to-company data litigation.
Sally Shorthose, IP and life sciences partner at Bird & Bird, said: “We are delighted to welcome Ann, one of the leading IP, life sciences and data litigators in Ireland, to the firm.
“Her reputation and specialised skill set in the areas of patent litigation and data privacy disputes will not only benefit the firm in the Irish market but across Bird & Bird’s international network. Welcome to the firm Ann!”
Ms Henry added: “I’m thrilled to be joining such a well-regarded firm — Bird & Bird is internationally renowned for its expertise in IP, life sciences and data protection and has a reputation for excellence.
“I already have a strong relationship with the team in Ireland and I look forward to meeting and working closely with my international colleagues.”
