Book prize for QUB’s Professor Luke Moffett
Professor Luke Moffett’s Reparations and War has been awarded the Kevin Boyle Book Prize by the Irish Association of Law Teachers (IALT).
Published by Oxford University Press this year, Professor Moffett’s book draws on hundreds of interviews to examine the history, theoretical justifications, and practical challenges of implementing reparations after war.
The book prize is awarded in memory of Kevin Boyle, a founder and past president of IALT who was a leading international scholar on human rights in Ireland, known for his work at the European Court of Human Rights.
Professor Moffett is a law professor at Queen’s University Belfast, having joined the university as a lecturer in 2013. He previously completed his LLB, LLM and PhD at Queen’s.
In a social media post, the School of Law said: “We are proud that Professor Moffett’s talents are being rightly recognised, and we are grateful to call him a professor at the QUB School of Law.”
