Browne Jacobson hires William Darmody to lead corporate team
UK and Ireland firm Browne Jacobson has appointed William Darmody as partner and head of the firm’s Irish corporate team.
Mr Darmody has extensive experience in company law matters, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, restructuring, venture capital and private equity investments. He will be advising high potential growth companies and innovation-driven enterprises with legal issues relating to scaling, fundraising, corporate governance and exits.
Prior to joining Browne Jacobson, he worked for international law firm Maples Group for over eight years and prior to that in a large Irish corporate law firm.
He has been involved in many of Ireland’s most significant equity financings and M&A transactions in recent years and has experience across a range of sectors including technology, life sciences, retail, education, manufacturing and aviation.

In that time, we’ve tripled in size, we’ve moved to a larger premises at 2 Hume Street, Dublin 2, gained two additional partners along with several associates and trainees.
