The retired lawyer was a founder in the 1960s of Bruce St John Blake & Co. Solicitors, which continues to practice in Galway today.

In a statement, the Galway Solicitors’ Bar Association (GSBA) said: “It is with great sadness that I must inform you of the death of our friend, colleague and retired founder of Bruce St John Blake & Co, Solicitors, Mr Bruce St John Blake.

“Please note that funeral arrangements have not yet been confirmed but the relevant details will be circulated as soon as same have been received.”
