ByrneWallace rolls out enhanced family friendly benefits for staff
Staff at ByrneWallace LLP have benefited from enhanced family-friendly benefits introduced in the past 12 months, the firm announced yesterday to coincide with International Women’s Day.
The firm has enhanced maternity and paternity leave, and introduced paid leave to support both men and women in the firm who experience the trauma of pregnancy loss.
Alison O’Sullivan, HR partner and head of the firm’s property law practice, said: “As a firm, we are committed to cultivating a diverse and inclusive working environment where all employees can thrive and grow.
“Our commitment of supporting, developing and empowering our employees means that 48 per cent of leadership roles within the firm are held by women. This is significantly ahead of the curve for large law firms, where often the stated goal is to achieve 30 per cent.”
Managing partner Feargal Brennan added: “Building on this, I am immensely proud to say, that almost 62 per cent of all our employees are female, while 55 per cent of all professional staff are female.
“We are always mindful that our people are our best asset and continue to identify opportunities where we can become even more inclusive, attracting and retaining the best talent to advise and support our clients.”
The firm’s annual Wellness Week coincides this year with International Women’s Day. Running from 7-11 March, it includes events such as bootcamp and yoga classes, nutrition sessions, daily guided runs and walks, an organised bike tour of Dublin city, along with wellbeing and financial talks.
