DLA Piper partner Caoimhe Clarkin has been appointed to the global law firm’s international board.

Ms Clarkin has headed the firm’s litigation and regulatory practice in Ireland since 2019.

She advises domestic and international corporate clients on a whole spectrum of contentious and regulatory issues across a broad range of sectors, particularly consumer goods, food and retail, financial services and insurance.

She also advises on risk and crisis management and on how to avoid, manage and resolve disputes and supports clients on managing their relationships with various regulators in Ireland and abroad.

Ms Clarkin is one of three new members of the international board, alongside Singapore-based Katherine Chew and Paris-based Sonia de Kondserovsky, while Milanese lawyer Bruno Giuffrè has been re-appointed for a second term.

Jon Hayes, global co-chair and senior partner of DLA Piper International, said: “I am delighted that Bruno will continue to serve on the board, and that Caoimhe, Sonia and Kat will join him in bringing their wealth of experience on international work from three additional locations into the board’s discussions.

“As we focus on driving our business forward, the board is well equipped to engage with our excellent executive and with partners generally.

“I would also like to thank Kevin Chan, Fanny Combourieu, and Suzannah Newboult for their invaluable guidance and support during their time on the board.”
