Careers event to highlight opportunities for lawyers within the EU

The Irish Society for European Law (ISEL) will next month host a careers event highlighting opportunities for Irish lawyers within the EU.
The Zoom webinar will be chaired by Judge Eugene Regan of the Court of Justice of the European Union (CJEU) and will hear from speakers:
- Emer Finnegan, director of the legal service of the secretariat of the Council of Ministers;
- Joseph Maguire, seconded national expert, directorate-general for justice and consumers, European Commission;
- Claire Moriarty, référendaire at the CJEU.
A spokesperson for ISEL said: “The event is aimed at students and junior practitioners, and we hope to provide some useful information on different legal career paths within the European Union.”
The free event is taking place on Monday 7 February 2022, 5pm-6.30pm, and registration is open online.
