Cian Smith takes top legal role at National Lottery

Solicitor Cian Smith has been appointed as chief legal and regulatory officer at Premier Lotteries Ireland, operator of the National Lottery.
Mr Smith will succeed Niamh Hodnett, who recently left the company to take up the role of Ireland’s inaugural online safety commissioner.
He joined the legal and regulatory affairs team in 2018.
Writing on LinkedIn, Mr Smith said: “I’m delighted to share that I have started a new position as chief legal and regulatory officer at The National Lottery!
“I feel honoured to continue working with the extremely talented legal and regulatory team, the SLT and the wider National Lottery family.”
