International law firm Clark Hill has appointed Conor Kenny to its transatlantic practice as an international business co-ordinator.

Based in Dublin, Mr Kenny will focus on driving European-based business to the US in addition to supporting American organisations expanding into Ireland and Europe.

He spent the last eight years working at the US Embassy in Dublin, acting as the US government’s lead advisor for supporting inward investment from northern Europe into the US. In that time, he facilitated more than $12 billion of northern European investment projects into the US.

Prior to that, he was head of investment for the British Embassy in Dublin for three years.

He holds a master’s degree in international business from UCD Smurfit Business School.

Kevin Kent, chair of Clark Hill’s transatlantic practice, said: “We’re very excited about Conor joining us given his deep connections in Select USA and to the US Embassies throughout Northern Europe.

“These relationships and his experience in the cross-border business-growth space bring a substantial additional layer of support to our clients as we continue our commitment to provide practical, business-focused advice to businesses coming from Europe into the US.”

The US-headquartered firm previously worked with Mr Kenny on initiatives with the US Embassy in Dublin.

Mr Kenny said: “This is a natural progression for me to join Clark Hill and help grow the firm’s business development efforts with European companies with whom we’re working in the US.

“In this new role I will be able to significantly broaden and increase my assistance to companies doing business on both sides of the Atlantic.”

John Hensien, Clark Hill CEO, added: “Conor’s ties to the US, Ireland and Europe will be a tremendous asset to strengthening our international relationships.

“We’ve been familiar with Conor and his accomplishments for several years, and we’re thrilled to have him join us.”
