Competition law probe at Dublin Port Company

The Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC) has opened an investigation into suspected breaches of competition law by Dublin Port Company.

The investigation concerns suspected anti-competitive practices in the provision of port infrastructure at Dublin Port and/or the provision of port towage services at Dublin Port.

These services are crucial for the safe navigation and operation of vessels, and therefore for the efficiency of trade and transport in the region.

“As the investigation is ongoing, the CCPC is not in a position to provide any further information at this time,” the watchdog said.
