Mr Lavery, principal solicitor at Con Lavery & Co Solicitors since 2004, had over three decades of experience practising as a solicitor in the Banbridge and Lurgan area.

He graduated from Queen’s University Belfast School of Law in 1975 and had specific expertise in residential and commercial conveyancing matters, having acted for a number of established property developers.

The Law Society of Northern Ireland has extended its sincere condolences to Mr Lavery’s family, friends and colleagues, and said details of funeral arrangements will follow in the coming days.

Mr Lavery is survived by wife Ethna, children James and Helen, and grandchildren Lilly and Jake.
