DCU law student who died suddenly to be buried tomorrow
A young athlete and Dublin City University (DCU) law student who suddenly died on the weekend will be buried in Annaduff tomorrow.
Joanna Duignan, 20, was taking a three-year Bachelor of Civil Law course at the university.
She was also a member of the Carrick-on-Shannon Athletic Club and won a number of national running competitions.
Her funeral Mass will take place at tomorrow at St Mary’s Church in Annaduff, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery.
In a tweet, the School of Law and Government at DCU offered “deepest condolences” to Ms Duignan’s family and friends.
In another tweet, DCU law lecturer Aisling de Paor added: “Condolences to all family and friensd - may she rest in peace.”
