  • Eversheds Sutherland assists Patreon on European expansion

Eversheds Sutherland provided legal and tax support to membership platform Patreon on its European expansion.

The company is opening its European headquarters in Dublin, creating 30 jobs over two years in its product, engineering, and general administrative teams.

Alan Connell, partner and head of tax, said: “We wish the entire Patreon team every success as they continue to grow their business.”

  • Dillon Eustace advises Heitman on acquisition and financing of 214 apartments

Dillon Eustace advised real estate investment management firm Heitman on its recent acquisition and financing of The Circle Collection.

The Circle Collection comprises 214 residential and three commercial units in Dublin across 27 separate properties.

The Dillon Eustace multidisciplinary team included Donnacha O’Connor and Daragh O’Malley in the asset management and investment funds team, Martin Colman, Brendan Cunnane and Nessa Ryan in real estate, Keith Robinson, Conor Kiernan and David O’Shea in banking and David Lawless in tax.

  • Pinsent Masons assists Anantara Hotels on Irish début

Pinsent Masons advised Anantara Hotels, Resorts & Spas on its entry to Ireland through the rebranding of The Marker Hotel in Dublin.

The Dublin hotel will be the third Anantara in Europe, joining Anantara Vilamoura Algarve Resort in Portugal and the Anantara Villa Padierna Palace in Marbella, Spain.

Real estate partner Kevin Collins, who advised on the deal, said: “The entry of such a major international hotel brand into the Irish market is significant and it shows a confidence in our business travel and leisure economies.

  • William Fry acts for Italian asset manager on listing of €300m bond

William Fry acted as listing agent for ANIMA Holding S.p.A. in its recent listing of a €300 million bond in Ireland.

The Irish firm worked with Shearman & Sterling LLP in Milan on the deal.

ANIMA is the largest independent asset management group in Italy, with total assets under management of over €173 billion and more than one million customers
