Deirdre Ardagh appointed as Three Ireland DPO and senior regulatory counsel
Deirdre Ardagh has been appointed as telecommunications provider Three Ireland’s data protection officer and senior regulatory counsel.
Ms Ardagh provides in-house counsel on matters of data protection and regulation and works to foster a compliance-driven culture while steering strategic growth initiatives. She works closely with her counterparts across CK Hutchinson in the data protection and privacy field, regularly engaging on privacy projects, GDPR compliance and AI governance.
Externally, Ms Ardagh represents Three Ireland before regulatory bodies, in both policy development and legal matters. With many years of experience as both a barrister and a solicitor, Ms Ardagh provides timely legal counsel on data protection, commercial law, and regulatory compliance.
Prior to her appointment, Ms Ardagh acted as senior privacy and public policy counsel at Three Ireland. She was previously a partner in the corporate and commercial law team at Sherwin O’Riordan Solicitors, as well as having worked in the area of EU regulatory affairs with IDA Ireland.
Ms Ardagh holds a Master’s degree in economics from University College Dublin, a Master’s degree in public administration from the Institute of Public Administration and a bachelor of law degree from King’s Inns. As a practising solicitor, she is a member of the Law Society of Ireland.
