Hosted in collaboration with A&L Goodbody LLP, the event on 29 November 2022 will mark the International Day of Persons for Disabilities and the first anniversary of the launch of the disAbility Legal Network website.

The event will explore the impact of the cultural shift towards hybrid working in recent years on the lives of people with disabilities in the legal sector. Organisers also hope to explore how hybrid working can promote inclusion, and break down barriers for people with disabilities in the legal sector. 

The keynote speaker is Joan O’Donnell, author and researcher behind the landmark report by Employers for Change and the Open Doors Initiative from November 2021 entitled The Future of Work and Disability – A Remote Opportunity.

She will then join a panel with Dr Patricia McCarthy, a research fellow at TCD School of Education, and Jane Barrett, an associate at William Fry LLP and founder/chairperson of the disAbility Legal Network, moderated by Duncan Inverarity, head of the employment law group at A&L Goodbody LLP.

The event will take place on a hybrid basis, with attendees invited to take part in-person at 7.30am at the Clayton Hotel Cardiff Lane or online from 8am.
