Dublin growth helps Taylor Wessing break €500m global revenue
International law firm Taylor Wessing has reported revenue of €514 million in 2022/23, breaking the €500 million threshold for the first time.
The London-headquartered firm opened an office in Dublin in September 2021 which, in the last 12 months, moved to larger premises and attracted three new partners.
Internationally, the firm saw revenue increase by 4.4 per cent to £439 million (€514m), its highest-ever recorded international revenue.
In the UK and Ireland, revenue increased by 3.5 per cent to £227.1 million (€265.7m) while profit was £81.7 million (€95.6m) — a decline of 12 per cent but still the second-highest on record.
Commenting on the results, Shane Gleghorn, UK managing partner, said: “It is fantastic to see the firm grow on the UK and international stage.
“Like many in the legal sector, this year saw us face difficult macro-economic conditions, which had an impact on market demand for legal services. We were pleased, therefore, to see the firm continue to grow revenue and these results are a credit to the talent and hard work of our people.”
This year, Taylor Wessing launched a new three-year strategy for the firm, promoted and hired more new partners internationally, unveiled a new strategic alliance with leading Iberian firm ECIJA, opened a new office space in Dublin, created a corporate technology team in Dubai, and announced a complete refurbishment of its London office at 5 New Street Square to create a sustainable space by 2025.
