DWF revenues up 14 per cent to £435m
DWF has reported a 14 per cent increase in net revenue to £435 million in what it has hailed as an “excellent performance” over the past financial year.
The global provider of integrated legal and business services today announced its financial results for the year ending 30 April 2024, with all three divisions achieving increases in net revenue.
Revenue growth in legal operations was eight per cent, the same as in commercial services, while the fastest growth was in insurance services at 24 per cent, driven in part by an acquisition in Canada.
Sir Nigel Knowles, CEO of DWF, said: “This is an excellent performance for our business and provides further evidence that our integrated legal management approach is helping us win with our clients.
“We have achieved continued profitable growth despite macroeconomic uncertainty, which is testament to the exceptional service our colleagues provide, and the trust placed in them by our clients.”
Over the course of the year, DWF promoted 33 to partner or to a higher career level within its partnership structure, as well as making 25 lateral hires at partner level.
The firm’s financial results were welcomed by the leadership of its Dublin and Belfast offices.
Chris Wheeler, managing partner of DWF in Dublin, said: “Our team has demonstrated remarkable resilience and innovation and we’re proud to have welcomed a number of talented professionals who have strengthened our capabilities and expanded our service offerings this year.
“Our team have been at the forefront of our corporate social responsibility initiatives, actively contributing to the local community through our 5 STAR Futures education programme and other volunteering initiatives including youth sports coaching and blood donation.
“We continue to look for growth opportunities in the Irish legal market and beyond and are excited about the opportunities to further our impact and deliver even greater value to our clients.
“The results achieved this year are a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team, and we are poised for continued success in the coming year.”
Julie Galbraith, managing partner of DWF in Belfast, said: “I would like to thank our team in Belfast for their hard work and dedication.
“Our combined efforts have not only bolstered our regional presence but also reaffirmed our commitment to providing exceptional service to our clients. This year saw us handle large-scale, high-profile transactions, including the purchase of Forestside and Bloomfield shopping centres, and welcome significant new hires like our energy consultant, Alan Bissett.
“A milestone achievement was partnering with our client, BT Group, to launch a new SQE route, offering students in Northern Ireland the opportunity to qualify in England and Wales without relocating.
“I am incredibly proud of what we have accomplished in Belfast and as a business overall.”
