Jenny Ebbage, partner and head of the charities and social enterprise department, presented the award to Maureen Gillespie of Stepping Stones NI.

The charity supports people with autism, ADHD, dyslexia, a learning disability or a learning difficulty to gain meaningful training and employment.

Ms Ebbage said: “The awards are an opportunity to showcase those people and social enterprises that are doing magnificent work in the community.

“We were particularly keen to champion the work of volunteers this year and delighted for Maureen Gillespie of Stepping Stones NI who was the worthy winner.

“Volunteers are the backbone of the third sector.”
