KPMG Law Ireland director Emma Ritchie has been appointed as KPMG Law’s co-head of data, digital and technology law for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMA).

Ms Ritchie has been appointed to the international role alongside Noemí Brito Izquierdo from KPMG Spain.

Before joining KPMG Law Ireland in 2023, Ms Ritchie was the lead privacy counsel at one of the world’s largest consumer electronics companies, where she managed complex data protection compliance projects, cookies, personal data usage, and data security incidents on a global scale.

She brings vast experience in advising on data protection and privacy law, coupled with expertise in adtech and marketing, to KPMG Law, the firm said.

“We look forward to the impact Emma and Noemí will make in shaping the future of data, digital, and technology law,” KPMG Law told Irish Legal News.
