Eversheds Sutherland has appointed Terry O’Malley and Marie O’Riordan as partners to the firm’s growing real estate practice.

The pair will be based out of the international law firm’s Dublin office.

Mr O’Malley, whose focus will be on commercial real estate, advises on property acquisitions, disposals, investments, financing, development and asset management. He acts predominantly for developers, lenders and investors in dealing with purchases, sales, lettings, lending and on-going asset management and specialises in the area of healthcare.

Ms O’Riordan is experienced in all areas of commercial real estate law and commercial leases. She acts for a range of investors, developers and banks in dealing with acquisitions, disposals, lettings, lending and property management issues. She recently acted for a number of Irish and international investors in the acquisition and disposal of significant commercial properties, focussing in particular on the acquisition and disposal of high value office and retail properties, and regularly advises clients on complex commercial leases and real estate transactions and on the re-structuring/re-finance of property assets.

Alan Murphy, managing partner at Eversheds Sutherland, said: “We are delighted to appoint Terry and Marie as partners in our firm. Both Terry and Marie will further enhance our very significant real estate offering to clients. In the current economic climate and with Brexit looming, this is a huge growth area for the firm.

“I have no doubt but that Terry and Marie will continue to build on the success of our real estate group.”
