Fisher Law welcomes new partner Lindsey Colgan
Northern Ireland firm Fisher Law has announced the promotion of Lindsey Colgan to partner in the firm.
Mrs Colgan, a native of Coleraine, joined the Galgorm Castle-based practice as an apprentice solicitor in 2017.
Commenting on her promotion, Mrs Colgan said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be continuing my professional career with Fisher Law as a partner. I look forward to promoting the ethos of Fisher Law in delivering the very highest standards of legal advice to our clients. It is an exceptional team that I am proud to be a part of.”
Shaun Fisher, the firm’s founding partner, added: “With the practice rapidly expanding, in no small part down to Lindsey’s flourishing reputation, acumen and talent, it considerably enhances our offer to have her invested in the business, and I am delighted she has embraced her thoroughly deserved promotion.
“Together with our mainstay Kimberley McAuley, plans are being developed to provide an even more user-friendly and effective experience for those who avail of our services throughout Northern Ireland and beyond.”
Mrs Colgan was a pupil at Coleraine High School who subsequently completed an LLB with Northumbria University in Newcastle in 2016. She joined Fisher Law as an apprentice the following year.
She qualified as a solicitor in September 2019, having studied at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies (IPLS) at Queen’s University Belfast, where she obtained a postgraduate diploma with commendation in professional legal studies.
She advises clients on all aspects of private client work including drafting wills and administering estates; residential conveyancing matters, with very substantial experience in property purchases, sales and re-mortgages; personal injury litigation; family law; and matrimonial law, in which she has a particular interest, regularly providing clients with impartial advice on a wide range of family issues.
