Flanagan to present post-Brexit plan to promote Irish legal services to Cabinet
Justice Minister Charlie Flanagan will seek Cabinet permission this autumn for the setting up of an implementation group to carry forward a strategy aimed at making Ireland a world-leading centre of legal services after Brexit.
Mr Flanagan will present the strategy, developed by the Law Society of Ireland and The Bar of Ireland over recent months, to the Cabinet for formal agreement, the Sunday Business Post reports.
It was first published in May under the title Promoting Ireland as a Leading Centre Globally for International Legal Services.
David Stanton, minister of state at the Department of Justice, said that the report would most likely be brought to Cabinet for the purposes of establishing an implementation group in September.
He was speaking at the launch of the new International Swaps and Derivatives Association (ISDA) Irish law Master Agreement.
