Four law firms shortlisted in Chambers Ireland Sustainable Business Impact Awards
Law firms Matheson, A&L Goodbody, Arthur Cox and Mason Hayes & Curran LLP have been shortlisted in the Chambers Ireland 2023 Sustainable Business Impact Awards.
The annual awards showcase best practice in sustainable business development and social responsibility undertaken by companies of all sizes across Ireland, based on the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
In the ‘Partnership with Charity — Large Indigenous Company’ category, A&L Goodbody has been shortlisted for its 10-year-long partnership with Depaul, while Arthur Cox has been shortlisted for its partnership with the Alzheimer Society of Ireland.
Matheson has also been shortlisted in the same category for its partnership with Irish Rule of Law International (IRLI) to provide commercial law training for South African lawyers from disadvantaged backgrounds.
In the ‘Volunteering’ category, Mason Hayes & Curran has been shortlisted for its pro bono work with the Kids in Need Defence (KIND) Project to prepare family reunification applications for unaccompanied refugee children.
Matheson has also been shortlisted for its collaborative project with other law firms — A&L Goodbody, Arthur Cox, William Fry, Walkers, Philip Lee, Dechert and Comyn Kelleher Tobin — as well as the Ukraine Ireland Legal Alliance and the Irish Red Cross to support Ukrainians on Maynooth University campus.
In the ‘Diversity & Inclusion — Large Indigenous Company’ category, A&L Goodbody has been nominated for its work to put inclusion at the heart of the business.
The winners will be announced at an awards ceremony on Thursday 14 September.
