The Irish Times has published a full obituary for former judge Frank Griffin, who passed away last week at the age of 98.

The long-standing judicial figure was the first presiding head of the Special Criminal Court when it was re-established in 1972.

Mr Griffin’s son, Judge Gerry Griffin, is a qualified solicitor and a Circuit Court judge.
