Global law firm Ropes & Gray expands into Dublin
Ropes & Gray has become the latest global law firm to expand into Ireland, with competition law expert Dervla Broderick joining the firm’s new Dublin office.
Ms Broderick previously worked in the Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (CCPC), where she was deputy director for competition enforcement and mergers.
She has joined Ropes & Gray as a counsel based full-time in Dublin.
The new Dublin team, based on Fitzwilliam Place, will work closely with colleagues in London and around the world to support clients who are doing business in the EU.
The office will offer “in-depth knowledge across a range of industries and works with a range of practice areas including antitrust, life sciences and asset management to deliver solutions for clients on their cross-border transactional and regulatory matters”, the firm said.
A spokesperson for Ropes & Gray told Irish Legal News: “We are delighted to have opened an office in Dublin, to enable us to better support our clients operating in the European Union.”
