Health and safety lawyers to hold Dublin conference next week
The Health and Safety Lawyers Association of Ireland (HSLAI) will hold its 2017 annual conference in Dublin next Thursday.
Delegates at the 90-minute event are set to be addressed by Madeleine Abas, partner at specialist UK health and safety law firm OsborneAbasHunt, as well as Irish barrister Ronan Kennedy BL.
Ms Abas will relay her experience in managing corporate manslaughter and other serious health and safety prosecutions in England and Wales.
Meanwhile, Mr Kennedy, who acted for the defendant in the landmark decision of the Court of Criminal Appeal in DPP v PJ Carey (Contractors) Limited 1 I.R. 234, will give an update on recent developments in health and safety law.
The conference will run from 8am-9.30am on Thursday 16 November at the Radisson Golden Lane in Dublin 2.
