NI: HHD Solicitors promotes litigation solicitor Caroline Dunlop to partner
Belfast firm Higgins Hollywood Deazley (HHD) Solicitors has announced the promotion of Caroline Dunlop to partner.
Ms Dunlop advises on all litigation matters including personal injury claims, injunctions, judicial reviews and contractual disputes.
She joined the firm in September 2001 and was promoted to her previous role of associate solicitor in November 2012.
Partner Matt Higgins said: “Caroline is a valued, long-standing member of our team who brings a depth of knowledge to all her cases.
“She has been successful in cases involving educational rights on behalf of young children and has supported families in their legal case to have their child statemented and obtain educational support within the school system.
“Caroline was successful in many prison judicial reviews and human rights cases where she obtained additional support for prisoners including the appropriate medication prescribed and she recently represented the mother of a young man who tragically died whilst in the custody of Maghaberry Prison at a coroner’s inquest into his death.
“We are delighted that she will joining us in our Partnership and help to drive ongoing growth and future of our firm.”
Ms Dunlop works closely with local schools on behalf of HHD, including sponsorship of prizes, lecturing the students at career events and supporting the staff in other annual events.
Her school engagement includes sponsoring the sports teams in Girls’ Model, Boys’ Model, school prizes in St Malachy’s and annual events in Our Lady of Lourdes Primary School. She also has links with Ulster University and the firm’s annual support of law students.
