NI: House prices up 3.5 per cent year-on-year
House prices in Northern Ireland were 3.5 per cent up on the previous year in the second quarter of 2019, new statistics reveal.
The NI House Price Index, calculated by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency, recorded a 0.8 per cent increase in house prices on the previous quarter.
Across Northern Ireland, the average house price was £136,767 in the second quarter.
Average house prices were highest in Lisburn and Castlereagh at £163,466, up 3.9 per cent on the previous year, while prices were lowest in Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon at £120,226.
The most significant increase was in Newry, Mourne and Down, where prices went up by nine per cent year-on-year to an average of £146,350.
