The NI House Price Index, calculated by the Northern Ireland Statistics and Research Agency, recorded a 0.8 per cent increase in house prices on the previous quarter.

Across Northern Ireland, the average house price was £136,767 in the second quarter.

Average house prices were highest in Lisburn and Castlereagh at £163,466, up 3.9 per cent on the previous year, while prices were lowest in Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon at £120,226.

The most significant increase was in Newry, Mourne and Down, where prices went up by nine per cent year-on-year to an average of £146,350.
