Almost 100 solicitors from across Mayo and the west of Ireland attended the recent Connaught Solicitors’ Symposium 2022.

Held at Breaffy House Hotel in Castlebar, the event was addressed by expert speakers in conveyancing and regulation highlighting key issues for local solicitors and their clients.

The event was organised by Law Society Skillnet in association with Mayo Solicitors’ Bar Association. It was the eighth in this year’s series of specialised training events designed to support local solicitors in communities throughout Ireland to upskill on topics related to legal practice.

Solicitor Marc Loftus of Bourke Carrigg & Loftus, president of the Mayo Solicitors’ Bar Association, said: “We are delighted to celebrate the Connaught Solicitors’ Symposium in Castlebar this year.

“We were encouraged to see such a positive response to this year’s in-person event. The Connaught Solicitors’ Symposium 2022 is a highlight in local solicitors’ calendars each year. We look forward to coming together to collaborate and celebrate the local legal community.

“Solicitors are continuously striving to provide the best possible legal services for our clients and communities in all areas of life and business. We are grateful to the Mayo Solicitors’ Bar Association and Law Society Skillnet for their help to facilitate this.”
