#InPictures: Arthur Cox supports Christmas gift drive in Northern Ireland
Arthur Cox has partnered with The Fostering Network to support the organisation’s Christmas gift appeal.
Staff in the law firm’s Belfast office specially chose presents which will be distributed to more than 60 children across Northern Ireland.
All children receiving a gift currently avail of The Fostering Network’s Step Up Step Down service, which sees foster carers support families to help children remain within their family home.
Colm McElroy, finance partner and chair of Arthur Cox’s CSR committee, said: “We are very pleased to continue to partner with The Fostering Network in support of its Christmas gift appeal.
“Christmas is a special time of year for children and their families, and initiatives such as this are really important in ensuring that every child in the Step Up Step Down service receives a gift.
“This year marked was another unpredictable and uncertain year for many, meaning the need for gifts such as these has increased. At Arthur Cox we are proud to contribute towards the efforts of The Fostering Network and to help to make a real difference to many children throughout Northern Ireland.”
Kathleen Toner, director of The Fostering Network Northern Ireland, said: “Christmas is a wonderful time of year for most of us, however for some of the families we support, it can be a source of anxiety and stress.
“By donating these amazing gifts to vulnerable children, Arthur Cox has helped us to ensure that the families that utilise our Step Up Step Down service can experience a positive and happy holiday period.
“The support we’ve received from Arthur Cox, has been heart-warming and really reflects the true meaning of Christmas. On behalf of the children and families we support, I would like to thank everyone at Arthur Cox for helping us to continue to provide our much-needed services.”
