#InPictures: Eversheds Sutherland and UCD conference examines financial reforms
Eversheds Sutherland and University College Dublin this month welcomed financial services industry leaders, academics, lawyers and representatives of the Central Bank to a conference exploring the implications of the new individual accountability framework.
Ciaran Walker, consultant in financial services regulation and governance at Eversheds Sutherland, said: “Our conference was very well attended and, in particular, it facilitated constructive engagement between academic experts, practitioners, regulators, and policy-makers to address issues of importance to financial services in Ireland.
“A key takeaway from the event is the importance of continually developing constructive engagement between the various stakeholders, in particular, through a ‘community of practice’ involving academic experts, both national and international, regulators, industry and practitioners to facilitate a common understanding of best practices in order to achieve the governance and culture change objectives of the new framework.”
