#InPictures: Mills Selig choir raises charity cash at Christmas
Staff at corporate and commercial law firm Mills Selig have taken to the streets to raise cash for Angel Wishes NI, a charity supporting children in Northern Ireland with cancer-related conditions.
The Belfast-based firm’s Christmas choir raised £270 on Monday and will be performing again at lunchtime outside the firm’s offices on Arthur Street next Tuesday 21 December.
Maeve Fisher, partner and head of the firm’s charity committee, told Irish Legal News: “Our Christmas choir was established in 2019 when we entertained local commuters at Lanyon Station in Belfast and in 2020 we recorded and shared a performance via Zoom – so it is great to get back together in 2021 to fundraise for our chosen charity Angel Wishes NI.
“The past two years have been hugely challenging for everyone. We are delighted to have the opportunity to fundraise for Angel Wishes NI, a wonderful charity, doing vital work and whose focus and support makes a huge difference to families who have children diagnosed with cancer-related conditions. Thank you to everyone able to donate to this hugely worthwhile cause.
“Mills Selig’s charitable work echoes our values as a firm. We hope our singing lifts the spirits of people passing by on Arthur Street and also helps families in need.”
